Hi there chaps

I'm currently contemplating VTEC ownership, either a civic or an integra.

I know a few of you guys own DC5's on here and was wondering what insurance is like on them? I know they're a group 20 import so it's not going to be earth shatteringly cheap but how old are you and how much do you get shafted for?

Spanks very much

Integra by a mile, insurance is sortable though, have you tried contacting actual owners off here (for insurance help)?

I have driven 2

They are fucking awesome, but due to be all imports insurance is a nightmare.

My mate has one which is absolutely sexual, he's now stripped it out and it's just sooo much fun to drive, for a fwd car it's handling with the lsd is immense, you can just throw it into any corner no matter how tight at silly speeds and it just pulls you round! Does take some getting used to though!

If i had £15k that is what i'd have!

Oh abnd if your selling your cupra let me know!

The problem i had when insuring mine was not many companies know what the fuck you are talking about when you say dc5, and they dont have the car on there system, i was pionted in the direction of A-plan by Adi off here.

Im 22 with 3y ncb and pay £1600 fully comp.

CW CTR's are rare as they were only produced in japan, and as CTR's are so popular over here there isn't a great demand for imports.

they werent produced in japan, where produced in the uk with the rest of them, then shipped to japan, then people buy them back, hence why they have a small union jack sticker on the tailgate.

220bhp (same as dc5), lsd, recaros etc.

dc5's are fappin quick but not meant to be as much fun as a dc2.

Sorry i meant they were only sold in Japan.

I've driven a JDM 96 spec and 2 DC5's and i much prefered the DC5. But for a around £7k your could get an exteremly nice 98 spec JDM DC2.
