Its on the edge next to where it bolts to the gearbox.
Near the dipstick and breather pipes on the front of the block.

fort so my engine seems not to have one which is a pain cus need to change engine on log book wat can i do

mine still has my 1400 engine number as i cant read my turbo 1 but just changed the enigne cc on logbook

Get a wire brush on it to see if that brings it up any.
I had to use a wire wheel on a drill to find my 16xe one.

scratched it off to the metal its definatly not there mite have to try the same as you mate cheers

must have cant even see were it has been but i need one to change engine on log book
