hi, ive recently bought a corsa gsi, its a 93 L Reg,I didnt think about there being 2 gsi engines untill i got home and checked out on the web so im just wondering how do i know if its c16xe or x16xe just by looking at it.,,,,,,, as its had an engine change from another Gsi as the old one died. i know hardly anything about either engine . much appreciated

i think thats a c16xe as for its age. The X16xe were the ecotecs.

c16xe 109bhp earlier engine. Can tell because of the plastic inlet and the AFM.

nice one, in knew enough to know it was definetly a 1.6 etc, but werent sure on the c16 x16 business, its good enough for me anyway. cheers for replys

C16XE, black plastic inlet manifold and airflow sensor on the inlet pipe give it away, along with a couple of other things
