Local Postie is closed so cant ask there

Any way just found out a nintendo wii I posted back end of Feb never made it through the system. The stupid person went stright to paypal and they put my account into -£250 without telling me(old email address)

So I dont have a postage certificate anymore what chance do I stand of getting any comp it was ony standard parcel but insured so no tracking No.

Even If they can tell me weather it was delivered then paypal will give me my money back.

Or have I just lost £250

std parcel only covers you upto £50 if its parcel force std parcel

royal mail stdparcel is different again.

paypal will have a dispute console, you should conplain and they will have to investigate the claim, they freeze the money and account until a decision is reached.

Also.

tell paypal about any contact the buyer has made between now and the purchase date, its a crock of shit but basicly u have to provide all the evidence and build a case against the buyer and prove everything as best you can so u can proove your the innocent party.

thats why u should pay by paypal but not accept payments or dont use the service at all

online bank transfers - fuck ebay an paypal, robbing bastards

Edit - Top tip for everyone

Make payments to sellers thru paypal, Register a credit card with your account, if it goes tits up and paypal dont refund you, report them to the credit card fraud team, you get your money re-imburst and the credit card company persue retreiving the fees - worked for me

You have no chance unless you have the tracking number.

as rob said, you have no chance without proof of posting, i found this out to the tune of £110 out of pocket when some tosser ripped me off. I bought something from ebay described as excellent condition, was rubbish, so he said send back and he well refund, i sent back he said hadnt received and i lost proof of posting, he said hadnt received, but funnily enough relisted it less than a week later paypal wouldnt do anything as no proof i sent it!

Yes, you've lost £250 for the sake of an extra £2.50 for recorded delivery.

Standard parcels covers for £34, unless you pay for extra compensation.
Recorded Delivery covers £34. No extra compensation available.

Without a proof of posting, you won't get anything infortunately.
