Want to get 2 train tickets to London but they seem sooooooo expensive, whats the best way of going about getting cheaper tickets

I wanna go from Bath Spa to Paddington so its not really far , just better to get a train, as im not sure where to park in london thats safe

if you drive then park on outskirts of london and get train in.
(park around uxbridge, hillingdon etc)
