First of all, I know which I'd rather have... but, just to settle something...
What's quicker? 0-60, 1/4 mile etc etc..
Cheers

It would be quicker with the backseats folded down.

And the tyre pressures raised! And no clutter in the glovebox, and only £5 of fuel!

std for std steve is right the 1.6 vti hatch is quicker than the 1.8 due to it having a clover ratio gearbox that expoites vtec better, but the 1.8 will be abit better for motorways and long journeys
however...
the 1.8vti is the same engine as the dc2 itr just a milder setup so if you source some itr cams( probably for the vtec), itr manifold as its fantastic and an itr gearbox so you have 185bhp right there, and a while your working on the enine a remap, air filter and a decent cat back system could see you get around 200bhp

1.6 was in the hatch, 1.8 was a 5 door and slightly bigger, it had 10-15bhp more but the 1.6 had a much better gearbox

whos lee and whats special about his CRX standard crx's are pretty average, as said pretty similar to 106gti specs, although the 0-60 crx book figure is a tad slower

lee is viper
a crx i-vtec would beat a 1600 vti without a doubt and would beat a 106 gti due to the weight
