How come you didn't just change it for a 1.8 rather than bother with swapping engines? .

i was told it was easier than what it has turned out to be. but once i had engine i am fully intent on making it work etc! lol

my car was a 60k 1.2 on a yplate so was worth about £2.5k. i couldnt find a 1.8 for £4k local enough to warrant buying!

You are very silly running a 1.8 with 1.2 brakes and no ABS imo.

So it's costing you more than upgrading to an sri in the long run to get to the same spec? And you also won't have aircon, and will have more hassle when it comes insurance/resale time?

I was just asking as i was curious for his reasons why he's converting a car rather than changing to a car with the engine already in .

Its because its a Corsa C.

Its something different, and good luck to him. ABS can be wired in at a later date if deemed necessary. It may be worth pointing out that they arent bog standard 1.2 discs on there atm either - they are uprated.
