Well i finally got the time to change my clutch ( with the help of a few friends ). I was getting a nasty noise on the 106 where when i left my clutch up it would make a scratching noise. I diagnosed it as the release bearing (which i was correct woo  ).
So we firstly took the gearbox off ( abit of a pain with the starter motor ).
Then took the gearbox off and found that the clutch was contaminated and had gone all funny ( lucky i bought a whole new clutch ).
If you look at the release bearing you can see its worn out, abit suprising really that clutch and gearbox has only cover 30k.
Anyway out with the old and in with the new.
But then just before we put it back together i noticed this little gem 
A Quickshift!!! Must of been from the previous owner so we stuck the gear linkages on the shorter one and its made a hell of a difference.
Now im looking to getting an ali radiator and racelanbd 4-2-1 manifold ( might aswell do it at the same time ).
Not bad for a days work also was my first time doing it aswell.

All Saxo/106 gearboxes come with that.
Well all the ones i have done.....

probably because they come with shitty Valeo clutches from the factory
|
