I went to the bank to close my accounts, £700 was spent on my credit card a while ago and, they didn't really seem too concerned. I've never had any confidence in them since, plus the Indian call centres got a bit too much. Also my HISA interest dropped from 5% to 2%!!! I opened up an account with Halifax, whos Irish call centres I can get along with! On arriving at the bank the building was completely boarded up! Did they know I was coming! Eventually got inside through a side entrance and was greeted by some short lass with a very annoying whiny voice who said unless I'd brought the cheque book I couldn't close the accounts She then said if I wanted a cheque they would charge me £15 After a few um's and ar's she said they could do a funds transfer that would take 3 days so went with that. They guy that did asked if I had destroyed my cheque book or if I was going to, he waited before he ticked that box, I wonder what he had done if I said I wasn't going to! I went in thinking I had £1100 in this bank, after he moved everything across it turns out I have £1700 my statements never confirmed this!!! No sorry to see your leaving and he let slip that he dealt with a lot of closures!
In conclusion sacked off the bank who wants to be an empire and gone with the bank that gives me extra ( ) and gaining a lot more interest
