Push forward to change down, pull back to change up. No side to side.
Had a fiddle with a quaife one once, it's weird

You need to match revs fairly well on downchanges or you'll get the same result as slamming your normal box from 4th to 2nd for example... but I wouldn't say you had to get it perfect to the tenth rpm.

Upshifts are easy, nice and smooth.

Heel and toeing always helps.

Proper ones have no syncromesh, so it would need a bit of rev matching on the downshift.

just buy it and fob her off saying the gear box has gone and they have stopped making them so the only one available is the sequential one, and it is also an upgrade!

(sorry fee)

When I went on Palmer Motorsport trackday at Bedford Autodrome I used a sequential box in a Jaguar JP1 and a Clio Cup car. JP1 box was ok and Clio one was horrid.

Going up gears just yank it backward but going down, use the clutch each gear you go down.

yes used one and was brilliant.... definately the way to go.

The only problem i had was that they made you lift the clutch between down shifts as it meant you stood a better chance of not fucking the gearbox
