Firstly i don't want OJC or Rachel H's input.
Here is the situation.
The Pug is going, i have an escort as a run around.
These are my options...
1) buy a Fiesta RST and have change from the sale of the 106.
2) buy a clio 172 from the money.
3) keep the escort a little longer and save up so i'd have near £6k+ to buy either a clio 182 or a seat ibiza cupra again?
Any other options?

Other than 10hp, whats the difference between a 172 and 182?
If it's minimal, then get the 172.

All the trim is different aswell i think, wheels / exhaust / interior.
I'm swaying towards the cupra as i have a friend who is selling his one and i know it is very good and is running 240bhp.

If it were me I personally would do option 3: keep the escort, save ££ and spend it on the 182 clio or ibiza (and in the meantime test drives to see what car you eventually decide on).
Wouldn't do option 1 because the fiesta rst means the spare money you have from selling the pug will go towards maintaining or fixing it if it goes wrong (not saying it will but as its an older car etc...)
And wouldn't do option 2 because I don't really like the clio 172 but thats just my personal opinion about that car Plus you mention the 172 but obviously if you had the money you say you'd possibly get the 182, which clearly it sounds like you'd prefer that out of the two clios. So wait a bit and get the car you really want IMO

Buy a FRST for a bit of fun and save up for a 172 Cup.

If i bought a FRST It would take me ages to save for another car, only reason it would only take me a few months is because i'd be working on a saturday but i don't want to do that for ever!

If you got the Fiesta RST you'd never save for another car because of the constant repaid bills
