Basically I was selling 3 Virgin PAYG SIM cards, someone bought them all and is now moaning that I mis-led them into thinking they were buying 9 SIM cards - "3 lots of 3 SIM cards" as they put it.
quote:
Well i'm afraid your in the wrong. U advertised '3x Virgin Pay As You Go (PAYG/PAYT/Prepay) SIM Cards'. That is actually quantity 1!!!Not as 3! If you were auctioning each one at 1.99 each then you should have stated so in the auction. You are very much in the wrong and have mis lead me into thinking I was buying x3 lots of x3. So yes I shall take it up with ebay.
Give me strength.

I just don't understand how this person thought I was selling 9 SIM cards...
- only a quantity of 3 was only ever available to purchase
- advert clearly states £1.99/each
- advert clearly states "3x"
- never in my advert did I state I was selling 3 "lots" of SIMs like they claim I have.

You have three, your selling them at £1.99 each, i.e you want £5.98 for all three.
Title can look as if it's a lot for three, but the description clears it up, and common sense would make you realise it was for 3 individual items .

People hurt my head. I need to inform the common sense police about such people in future.

I agree Steve.
I can see both sides but the guy that bought them is technically correct.

The other guy is a cock. Assuming that hte advert says "3 available", that doesn't mean that the £1.99 buy it now buys all three sets does it.
If it did, that would mean I could use a buy it now (for one item) on someone who is selling 20 of the same item, and insist they send all 20 to me, whilst only paying for one

The advert says 3x virgin sim cards.
Then there are 3 of what is advertised available.

Yeah. And? The auction says it is for a Sim card pack and that there are 3 available. It states clearly that they are £1.99 each

indeed but technically sam set up the advert wrong.
he should have either put 1 sim card at £x with 3 in the quantity, or 3 sims cards at £x with 1 in the quantity.
the way he sold it, is 3 lots of 3 sim cards

its a shit advert, if you wouldn't have worded it like a mong in the first place it wouldn't be an issue.
The buyer is obviously a mong too.

He didn't though did he? If the buyer clicked buy it now for three items, thats his problem. It states "I have 3x Virgin Pay As You Go SIM Cards for sale at £1.99 each!"
Therefore, you assume that each means an individual sim card, for £1.99.
You only assume that you've bought 9 sim cards, if you're unable to grasp the English language

why put 3x in the ebay titlesearch thing anyway though for a start off. Surely Quantity = 3 on the ad makes it clear how many there are. There are morons all over ebay, its best if you don't make it any harder for them!
