Thought about these for track wheels, anyone bought them before? How much are they generally or where is the best place to buy them? What are they like on the road?

what size....

i have a price list somewhere

I paid about 100 a corner for 50/15s

They are good on the road, good in the wet.... just dont expect them to last long, or be good in standing water

no... the price list was for toyo 888's....

they are about £70 for 50/15's

50 profile is the lowest you can expect so if your going for looks over handling forget them.

45/15s

Im not sure whether they should be off the car day to day and saved only for the track or whether they will do me on the road aswell. Will save me more hassle. How long did yours last?

Not bad. Any alternatives you can suggest? 50s will fit but 45s are ultimate handling wise.

888's seem ok... never used them but havent heard anything bad... They are going to be about 100 cheaper for 4 i'd think.

I was talking about tyres of that size in general. I can see they dont do these specific tyres in that profile.

just a bit of advice though.... if your going to be using it on track higher walls are better.

45 profile on 195's are quite small.... how close is that rim going to be to the road

you'll find the feeling between 'track' and fast road tyres differet too.

A 50profile 048r will be as rigid as your normal 45 profile if not more....
track tyres are designed to take corners much faster, higher lean angles etc
