This guy is class! Just watched this vid about 5 times over and over.
He seems to love his Foo Fighters/Dave Grohl/Taylor Hawkins stuff by looking at his other vids - if I can get anywhere near a fraction as good as that I'll be chuffed to fuck!

Phil Collins is a awesome drummer, his timing and constinsency is absolutely perfect, however I'd much rather be able to do what that guy in the video can do!

slightly off topic but how much space does a drum kit take up, thinking of getting one as im a bit bored of guitars and bass but need to make some room

My drum rug is 6ft square, but its oversized.
Personally I wouldn't call that video awesome, but I'm not a fan of the way Grohl plays. If you like hitting hard, watch Chad Smith. A far more proficient all-round player.
