The strap between slam panel and lower cross member at the front as seen here on Ed's car...



...because mine doesn't have one (no, it hasn't fallen off in the crash, wasnt there before)

mine has...my outside air temp sensor is attatched to it!

did u buy the car with the front bumper?

No.

It had its original slam panel replaced years back, I wonder if it was removed then and never put back

probably... was thinking if ur bumper was on the car it may have been taken off to fit the bumper....wierd....give a vauxhall dealer a ring tomorrow...

TBH, it's probably saved my car the fact there wasn't one, because the lower cross member is completely undamaged. If that had been on it could have pulled it out of shape I guess.

Only early corsas had these fitted. The brace is not structural, it was there to mount the outside temp sensor, later cars have a plastic bracket for this sensor that fits onto the lower crossmember.
