what did you do with regards to a fan, ive fitted a 2.0 8 valve into my corsa (same block as 2.0 16v an 2.0 turbo) and i havent fitted the manifold yet but one mate reckons the manifold will foul the fan and melt it and another mate reckons it will all fit fine?

any ideas?

std fan sucks if you put it on the front of the rad it will be trying to suck when it should be blowing!

I have slim Pacet fan to go on the front of the radiator. I really don't like the looks of the modded standard rads - they seem a bit flimsy and often hit the manifold. You can get them off of Ebay for fairly cheap...

If you swap the polarities of the wiring then it changes the direction the fan spins. It's how I used to have mine, but it was a bit too fat to fit behind the front bumper properly.

what difference will it make as long as the fan blades are facing the same way it will still cool the rad as it would on the other side

no because the fan would be trying to suck the air from the engine side through the engine while the wind would be trying to blow fresh air through from the outside!

A lot of fan blades are shaped to spin in a particular direction though not all are reversible in this way!
