not a happy bunny

in fact i feel as if i have been dumped tbh

story goes like this: i started working as a gardener at a private scholl two years ago, i put every effort i have into the gardens and i really do have a passion for my job

since being at the school i have seen the bigger picture and really chaged the way the school looks, it is now full of colour, its tidy, i can go on...

basically there is a man in charge (head groundsman) who has never even shown any kind of thanks for the hard work i do, he gets all the good perks and good pay yet im still at the bottom of the ladder

today i go to see him to discus a water bowser...imo it would save copius amounts of man hours, his reply is NO because he has spent the whole budget on his bloody football feild 35k just to get some seed put down

then to top it off he said "and your not buying any plants this year" i mean wtf is goin on here, i dont do this job for the money, i do it because i love the gardens and i am proud of the job i do

this feels like another killer blow and its not the first what do i do ? i have really made this place mine and now i feel like shit...

speak to the headmaster or finance officer at the school about more funds that you feel are required .

If you feel unhappy with how he is spending the funds or his allocation try talking to the finance officer again. Although the finance officer usualy authorises all payments this may not be worth it

the pitches are up to a high standard atm, its wasted money imo

as he is a groundman he only looks at the sports side of things and doesnt realise the importance of the gardens, there the main focus of the school
as it a 16th centuty place.

i spend about 3 days a week watering in the summer which is about 12 days of a 24 day month

thats about £500 of man hours used, thats 6 months a year = £3000

a water bowser will cost about £1500 at the most and will last at least 10 years

am i thinking the right or wrong way here
