Gonna spray my GSI spoiler soon - Its currently in Flame Red. Would i need to sand this, primer then paint and lacquer or would i get away with just sanding it down and painting and lacquering - skipping the primer stage? I've heard people doing it both ways just not sure which is best.

primer it just incase there are small imperfections you cant see! then you can sort them out if there is any before you go and spray the whole thing and realise lol

primer every time stops any bad reactions or poor paint finishes. no point paintin it then havin to strip it all and start again.

up to you but the black part is not really seen so no need to bother detatch it and just spray the wing

Started sanding down my spoiler - The shininess is gone its just a matt colour now - is that enough or am i best getting rid of all the original colour?
Been sanding for 3 hours straight.
