re-setting the ecu, does it help the maintance of anything or not?

no harm in trying it.. what ever the outcome is, it will either run the same, or slightly better

It will just re-learn using the lambda.

Dont you'll notice any difference at all.

if you have changed and airbox to air filter r vise versa then there will be a slight change to the airflow or what ever, but it probably re-learns as you drive with out re-setting. I reset mine when i put my airbox back on, didnt see a change in the way it drives but may have helped with fuel but only slightly. just depends how you drive it at the end of the day!
