About UCAS Card
What is UCAS Card?

If you are in Year 12, S5 or equivalent, and thinking of going into higher education, then the UCAS Card is for you.

Having a UCAS Card will allow you to access information about higher education as well as individual universities and colleges. It will also help you explore your options and ensure you make the choice that's right for you.

Not only that, but having a UCAS Card will give you discounts at major retailers and well-known names (available from March), special offers and fortnightly competitions, plus access to games, news, music, film reviews and lots more.

UCAS Card is free to all Year 12, S5 and equivalent students.

The UCAS Card scheme is currently only available to students in the UK.

Monthly Emails with Hints and Tips

UCAS monthly email bulletins provide useful hints and tips to keep you on track with your UCAS application and research into student life. They cover topics such as guidance on completing the UCAS application, the personal statement; choosing courses, interview tips, gap year research, living away from home and life as a student. We will also publish this information on the UCAS Card website.

You Can Magazine

You Can, published by The Independent in association with UCAS, is the essential guide to higher education, student life and careers. Signing up for a UCAS Card gives you a year's free subscription to the magazine, with copies sent direct to your home address in May, September and November.

Information from Institutions

Information from universities and colleges can be sent to you about the courses you are interested in. You supply details of these subjects when you register for your UCAS Card. This information can be updated throughout the year.

UCAS Card Website

The UCAS Card website provides study and revision resources, a UCAS application timetable, finance information, an insight into student life, sections on games, music and film reviews, newsfeeds and fortnightly competitions. You can also keep your personal details and higher education choices up-to-date.

Discount on Publications

UCAS Card holders can claim a 10% discount off all publications ordered from UCAS.

Personalised Card

You will be sent your own personalised UCAS Card, providing access to discounts, special offers and competitions from top brands.

How do I get a UCAS Card?

Simply register online at www.ucas.com/ucascard. You will need to ask your school/college UCAS adviser for your UCAS school/college number.

Alternatively, email ucascard@ucas.ac.uk, providing the full name, address and postcode of your school or college so that we can assist.
