I just want to know what those of you who regularly visit gyms do for a living?
Do most of you sit at desks all day? Who has active jobs?
I work as a decorator so I'm usually up and down ladders, reaching and stretching, lifting heavy things, lots of arm movements... I'd say my job keeps me fit but I kinda need to tone up a bit, not worthy of going to a gym.

Im a site carpenter so i guess i would stay fit if i didnt go. But going to the gym is concentration on a certain aspect of your body and you cant really do that at work.

Sounds ace! Did you go the qualifications off your own back or work in a gym as you did them?

Started at a gym as membership sales consultant but soon realised that i preferred being out on the gym floor helping people once they were in, so did level 2 fitness instructor whilst doing membership sales too. Then level 3 personal trainer, also have a degree in sports science so was a piece of pi$$ really... Now i get paid to travel an teach fitness, and paid to train too, win win situation..

Im a multitrader, in the building trade, when im not in the van driving to and from jobs, im down the cafe, or drinking tea reading nuts.
on the odd occasion i actually do some work that requires physical assertion like lifting baths, carrying rolls of roofing felt/lead up ladders/scaffolding, knocking up by hand when rendering/brick laying etc
so can be pretty physical but i try to keep that to a minimum.
i go gym 3 times a week, tuesday, thursday and sunday. do hour and half in the gym then do another hour and half of basketball/badminton/football
