Do you have to pay to park where you work?
As they are trying to change it where i work so that we have to pay £10 a week.
Cant see why they are doing it as they are currently building an extension on the car park so there are more spaces. So it cant be because of a shortage of spaces
All they say is that the money will go back into patient care but why should i pay to go to work. Also public transport is shite to get there as it takes ages and I have to walk 20/30mins from the town centre so il be paying the charge what ever

That was the first thing i said

although trying to presuade a big organisation to listen is another matter. I think a petition etc may be in order.

Ignore that

NHS, I'd refuse to pay it if I worked there, if they decided to sack me, I'd take them to court.

how far away is the next free parking area (or is there not one in a reasonable distance)?

Although, if enough of you sign the petition, it may work?

Theres not really anywhere else to park unless its in the town centre (all paying areas) or on some dodgy council area so no

Just dont pay, dont sign any contracts or what ever and then they cant just take it out of your wages. Would they get your car clamped? or sack you? just argue with them and they might just let you off.

We have 3 allocated slots for parking at work. Were not allowed to use any, How often are they used? 2 hours a day maximum, 2 hours of them im not working. Go figure

I just park in the tax office, Parking across 3 spaces in return for the stupid amount of money I pay out to them.

I dont see why they need to extend because when the charges start alot of the staff wont bother driving to work meaning the extra spaces wont get used.
