Stick em in warm water after youve finished practicing, helps the skin go abit harder so they dont hurt

In all honesty - Its not going well
I really want to learn but I need something that teaches me how to play, not something thats easy to play if you know how to play already
I do have the dummies guide somewhere, but it seemed a bit condecending

I just found a few tutorial videos on youtube, just helped me learn a song in about 5 minutes, instead of 3 days
I find that I can't be arsed to tune the guitar every day, look for a song to play and sit for ages learning it, hence not playing for a while.
I could do with proper lessons, but can't afford them

I got a lesson the other day off my girlfriends dad. (He plays in a band and has his own record company)
So far i've learnt 3 chords, A, C and E. My fingers killed after though

I did classic guitar lessons in yr 7/8 at school. then didnt pick up a guitar till i was 17, and just learnt myself.
just find songs you like, and learn to playb them using tabs.

Matt, the 'dummies guide' will probably be very educational if you've got no experience before, even if the name is a bit ghey

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I just play stuff how I want to, never pay too much attention to the strumming pattern

Been playing since i was 5, my dad is mental about guitars and teaches for a living. I havent been playing as much lately, been focusing on the bagpipes. So iv been sellin some of my collection, just sold a zakk wylde sig guitar (epiphone) for 300 bucks on ebay. And sold a white strat a few weeks back.
Think i might go have a blast just now actually.
If you want any help/tips just gimme a shout, not much i dont know

Amazingly, dont think il ever find a guitar that will play like this. Reason being its built for me, for my playing style. The guitar is all one, usually necks are bolted on or glued on, but i have carved this into one shape. I rarely play her though, dont like risking hitting her off anything!
Currently building one for my mates uncle, he has spent 2.5k so far and thats without paying me my labour costs! If all goes well, i might go into business.
