got home at half 5 spent all night on my car and managed to....
replace the head gasket
replace all of the rollers, and tensioner and cambelt!
oil change and filter change
oh and some new plugs.
seems to run like new now and alot more pokier. maybe the skimmed head helped.
i finished at 11 0
not bad going imo....for my first time with a 16xe

i took it for a gentle drive down the road (10 miles) but will be taking it easy for a few hundred miles and then re torque the head

no need for any run-in as such or to re-torque the head as they use stretch bolts with an angle measurement to torque them up.

ok even better 
i torqued the head at 25nm 90-90-90-45
is this right?
