The brake discs on my mums 2002 '02, Corsa 'C' need changing desperately - there making an aweful noise!

Don't know which type they are or the cheapest/best place to get these from?

Any help would be appreciated.

The Car is a 2002 Corsa 'C' 1.2SXi

What kind of noise? It might just need pads as they have a metal tag on them which touches the disc and makes a high pitched screeching sound.

Just have a peep through the wheels and see, when the pads have about 2mm left the metal tag starts touching.

Best place to get bits though is just your local motor factors or Vauxhall.

Cheers, think i may just change the discs, they've been on the car since new, so it may be worth it anyways.

How easy/ or should i say how long would this take to do? as my mum seems to think that i'll be able to sort them tomorrow when i get home from work.

If your getting the parts yourself make sure you have a look if they are solid or vented. The job itself is pretty easy if your relatively handy. Give yourself an hour, maybe a touch more.

You'll need a fairly large female Torx socket though so make sure you have a set, cant remember the size though. All the rest of the tools are basic ones.
