Is it wrong to spend £200 on 2 new tyres for my car? I dont think it is because I've had cheap tyres before and they were crap. Just some laddo on another site seems to think that its waste of money spending that much putting them on a Corsa "cus there crap" innit. I know its not a supercar but whats the point in skimping on tyres when they are what connects you to the road!

In his words:

why pay so much for tyres on a corsa???

i put really expensive tyres on my fiesta like £400 for the set including a spare, cant member what they was, but it made no difference tot he cheapo's i had on it before, grip is only really effected when seriously hammering it and breaking mid corner tbh, which u shudnt be duin in a corsa cus there crap

I have never put a cheap set of tyres on my car, paying £80 each at the mo for mine.

They are worth every penny IMO.

Not at all, £100 a tyre is a pretty decent price for a decent tyre in 17". Does'nt matter what the car is, i'll never buy cheapo tyres for any of my cars.

I agree in all honesty regardless of performance you need good tyres

however over 200 sheets on 2 tryes for 65 BHP is just plain stupid

What does the BHP have to do with it?

If it was a 1.6 with 110BHP and the same suspension and wheels I have (as think they have the same or very similar set up) then would that be ok?
