Had my operartion this morning, before Id even got into my gown I was given about 6 tablets - they told me my temp was up & so was my pulse, so before I was put out a guy had to check my chest, Rob asked did he see your boobies, I said yes
One woman had about 5 diff things to inject into me, i think I was nearly gone before the guy had even put the anaesthetic in.....
Woke up in Recovery with mouth open and these rags in my mouth, got injected with more painkillers, nearly drifted off again but then they took me back to the ward, where the girl next to me didnt stop talking the whole time to her mum, I was monged out and wanted to sleep but couldnt
Got given more pills, just about managed a strwberry jelly, then Rob picked me up at 2.30 (Op was at 10.15)
Had both lower ones out, right one is fine, left one was under the gum so this is quite painful, but have LOADS of pills to take
So that was my day

I had a upper and a lower one out a couple of years ago - they wouldn't put me out - would only sedate me but said I'd not remember any of it afterwards - I remember everything of it

Which ones are wisdom teeth?
I had 4 of the ones that are 2teeth behind your canines out once.
Then another one as i had an abcess(sp?) under another and that really fucking killed as it caused my tooth to be higher than the rest and i kept catching it when eating

your wisdom teeth are the very last teeth to come though usually about 18 but some people don't get them at all! count backwards from the central point and it's number 8 if you haven't got any missing

I had both my upper ones taken out by my dentist years ago, my lower ones were complicated so he wouldnt do these ones, feeling quite dozy (from the tablets) when I was on the sofa this morning, I was certain a fly ran across the room, Rob said it was a bit of fluff that hadnt moved
My right one was nearly showing so that was taken out without any probs, no pain and I cant see or feel any stitches on that side. so luckily can eat on that side.
Left side is a bit swollen, with some pain, bit scared that when I finally clean my teeth im knock them........
Butler - its fine really you wake up in recovery with your gob open and rags hanging out your mouth! And if its painful just nod, the stuff they inject you with is good once you are back on the ward they will just give you pills.

I only have one left. top right. i got the bottom left out under local. They thought the were going to have to take some of my jaw out too. Also it was 5mm from the main nerve for your face so i was fully numb for about a week or so, then semi numb for a couple of weeks and they couldnt tell me if the feeling would ever come back.
If the one thats left comes through in going for the knocked out option. mine also got infected so i was off work for about two weeks with a gammy hamster face that was agony. My stitches snapped too.

They will only take them out if you are in pain, they are impacted, or they are causing other probs like pushing against your other teeth, or you keep getting infections (I had pain on & off for years, and two infections last year.)
Also when i woke up, my right nostril felt wierd, later when i put my finger there, there was loads of dried blood, when a doc came round i asked what was wrong with my nose they said they had put a tube up there for oxygen, and my nose was really inflamed, and had started bleeding. All day I had dried blood falling out my nose..........
Left side of my face started to swell up this afternoon, getting more painful too, didnt feel well at all earlier
