After driving the escort around i'm starting to realise how shit the pug really is.

I know i have just spent a fortune on it but surely this would make it worth £4500. I've been offered a mint, fully rebuilt S2 RST.

And i really fancy it, but would it be stupid to sell the pug so soon after getting it all sorted?

dont go backwards..... its very old, will be problematic.

I would only buy car like that as a second car to play with.

Well the escort is spacious, comfortable, nice to drive, and it's an old shitter, imagine a nice one! I drove the pug and the gearbox is shit, the clutch is horrid, everything feels older than the escort!

Pug is 2000 w reg, 48k miles, quite alot done, i had it up for sale and recieved alot of interest.

What if it's a fully rebuilt one? I can't afford 2 cars, otherwise i'd keep the pug and my escort, but a std'ish S2 would be nice to drive everyday.

To be honest i love Series 1 escort RST's as well as the series 2's. I'd only buy a minter and even then i wouldnt dare use it. They are going up in value, but only if you dont drive the things and keep them mint.

I've been offered one with 85k on the clock, full ford service history, garaged for years with 4 owners, but dont fancy dealing with the CVH gremlins day in day out.

If you sell the 106 buy a slightly older audi or something if you're after better build quality but ask yourself why you sold the ibiza?

I wake up crying about that every morning, so thanks, you just made me cry at my desk at work!

I seriously wished i never got rid of it! But i did, thats life, i'm putting new suspension on so lets see what i think after that, but i really fancy a RST, and with the money i'd have i could get an exteremly nice one!

Why are you asking us you don;t listen to constructive stuff that people tell you (like don't sell the ibiza), people have said quite rightly that an rst is not a daily driver it'll brake and if not you'll put loads more miles on it and make it worth substantially less.

It's your life at the end of the day but don't ask advice if you aren't going to listen.
