There is talk of a prisoner exchange as part of diplomatic action. The release of some iranian generals captured in Iraq in exchange for the royal navy personnel.

Anyone else think Iran staged this operation with this prisoner exchange as their agenda?

This is bollocks. The bloody rules of engagement stopped the Navy from getting those lads back at the outset. What sort of government ties our armed services hands behind it's back and lets a hostile nation run off with British servicemen. It should never have got this far

they are going to provide satellite images as evidence to support that.

still think the iranians had an agenda all along and have been waiting to pull something like this for a while now.

Why else would they have done it, they have good ties with iraq (despite iraq haven caught some of there rogue generals), they knew what they wanted from the outset yes.

If Winston was in charge a full scale invasion of Iran would have happened the moment they took the sailors prisoner.

yeah, 100% staged to get what they are after.

If the PM had any balls he'd have a full on army heading towards them by now, see how long they'd hold out with that threat.

classic trick by Iran.

Filmed the hostages eating some good food and all looking fine, and then woman was filmed smoking and said that they DID enter Iranian waters.

I wonder if the guys with big guns behind the cameras had anything to do with them acting normal and eating, and the admission by the woman
