I think at Barclays, under £250, just your card as you use chip and pin. Anything over, normally 2 forms of ID. 1 photographic, the other not i.e. a bank statement.

Halifax needed ID such as driving license or passport when I wanted 3k, but for that amount they needed 3 or 4 days notice as well
