hey...

is it true that if you change lanes whilst going through average speed cameras on the motorway that they don't register your speed?

Has anyone ever got a ticket from a speed camera on a motorway? I never slow down for them and usually maintain a speed of 90mph.

In general they work.
They normally have a high tollerance.
Changing lanes doesnt affect its reading. It clocks you going in, add the time that you entered the zone, clocks you going out and the time you left, sorts times out and if you were speeding sends a NIP in the post.
If you speed thro' 40s/50s at 90 then you should rethink you driving licence. Theres a time and a place for speeding.
I hope you were joking

The changing lanes thing does affect the readong unless they have changed it.

Was only cameras on the same side of the road that shared information.

hope i haven't gone through one yet not to say i speed!!

heard this thing before that if speeding tickets don't come through the post after a certain amount of days after the incident, it becomes invalidated?

if they are the ones Im thinking of then they werent decoys, atleast not all the time, as my GF's Dad was done by them when dropping us at the airport really early one morning.

They had them on the Thelwall Viaduct (on the M6) for ages whilst they were doing work, and they used to get 1000's of people a day. Cant remember the exact figures, but it was all over the papers with how much it was bringing in per day.
