Most of you will know the car but i thought i'd keep a record of the progress as i go along, due to technical difficulties progress has been slow!

Here we go....

Saw this car for sale a year ago, phoned up for it and it was sold, so i bought a Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.8T. A year later i noticed someone had it on another forum. Ended up swapping my ibiza for it as i liked it so much!

So this is how i got it....

Added a MPS Show cage to it...

And i have changed the sound system.

After an argument with a roundabout i had a new front bumper keeping the bar in the mouth bit but smoothing the top off.

Got a new Gearbox and Clutch.

This is the current Spec...

Engine
- 4-2-1 Manifold
- Cat Back system
- Induction Kit

Chassis
- Spax Shocks n Springs -40mm
- Front Strut Brace

Interior / ICE
- Show Cage
- Sony Head Unit
- Infinity Comps in doors
- Infinity Comps in rear side panels
- 3 x Infinity 10" subs
- Infinity Bass controller in ash tray

Exterior
- Smoothed bonnet / bumper
- De locked
- Colour coded bumpers
- Side strips removed
- 16" Nimrods with Pirelli P Zero Nero tyres
- Projector Head Lights

Plans are....
- Change the projector headlights for std items
- Change the nimrods to VTS wheels
- Lower it a litlle more
- Single 3" exit exhaust and Decat
- Lightly Smoked Tints
- New Alarm with engine remote start and boot release
- Smooth Boot
- Reclining bucket seats
- A few MOMO tarty bits inside (steering wheel / Gearknob / Gaiter / Handbrake)
- Possibly new Directed Audio 6.5" comps.

love the car but swear in your show cage pic the door color doesnt match the rest of the body....

still love GTI's though very cool

It is! I think it was where the door was resprayed when it was delocked. TBH it only shows up in pics using the flash, Can't see it in normal daylight!

Cheers Mate, will be better imo with VTS wheels, lower and STD Headlights and different exhaust!

dont know i quite like the rims on it now... not sure if VTS rims will suit tbh but each to there own

Well from the pics i've seen i think it'll look awesome, especially as mine is all smoothed, i think it will go really well. Lets hope so anyway!

But living where i live the profile of tyre needed is too low, it's too low, subsequently i'm left with buldges to 2 of my tyres due to pot holes etc....

Plus the 15's will handle / accelerate better.

Door or rear 3/4 panel been sprayed? Looks like a colour mis-match to me?

JULES - As i said, i think it was where the doors were delocked. It is not noticeable in normal light, only on pics when the flash is used!

With the lock being so close to the quarter, and it a mettalic, they should have blended it if it was done properly.

Other than that it looks nice.

VTS Wheels on, no pics atm, i am happy with them, not the best, i might get some cyclones tbh!

but these will do for now, at least they are 15" !!!

So does having to have rear seats! And i like the cage!

Hopefully if all goes to plan i can keep my escort so that can be my work horse then i can semi strip the 106 to make it a bit lighter which may involve a PROPER cage!
