take it out on the motorway, if it tops out at 90 its an 8v.
though i'm sure theres other ways of doing it. taking a peak under the rocker cover ma well be one. not to sure.

8v is tiny as said, 16v engine will be bigger and have 16 valves

my 8v always showed 112 flat out so you cant really use that (i know it was overreading, there was a whole thread about this lol)

tbh i dont know if theres a difference between mine and mattk's car but this is my 1.2 8v aswell: (maybe its because mine is a pre 97 and its an opel)

thats in a corsa c but andy. not sure if its the same though but i really doubt it

yes sorry, thats from a C after another look. doesn't look massively different to my mates B SXi though. but i might be mistaken

The only thing that looks different from the B and C 16v is the rocker cover.
B has a silver one.

Im getting some for the saxo soon, i want some 18v HGV ones, having trouble finding a power inverter though to turn the 12v into 18v.
The pre 97 models were single point injection, mine was a post 97 ( despite the P reg ) and is a multi point, still has the same throbbing power though
