OK, Isobel has come home from nursery today and they've told us she has chicken pox, just a couple of spots at the moment.

The thing is, i've never had chicken pox before (i called my mum to confirm) so what does that mean if i get it? I've heard it can make men sterile, maybe that's not such a bad thing But would I be really ill? i.e. not be able to go to work? (I don't get paid if I don't go )

You'll already have it if she has come out in spots already. She is only able to spread it prior to getting spots, ie. when you dont know!!

You're ok to go to work when you're covered in blotches, like Cosmo says, you can't pass it on by then.

I wouldn't worry about it anyway, chances are 99% of the people you work with have already had it.

Ah, good

But should I be expecting to feel sick, headaches or anything if I have got it?

The g/f was the one saying I wouldn't be allowed out of the house for two weeks and all this bollocks

from Wiki
It takes from 10-21 days after contact with an infected person for someone to develop chickenpox.
