Right. At the moment im taking Promax Extreme 3 times a day. Has 76g Protein, 5g Creatine and 5g Glutamine (plus some other lil bits n bobs)
have seen some good gains on it but now im looking to get a little more serious....
Was looking at Cyclone which is another "all in one" which has 10g Creatine and 10g Glutamine but only has 60g protein. also 3000mg HMB and some other lil gems.
HOWEVER.. would it be more of an idea to go for a protein only powder like Flex(think its called that) then follow that up with a creatine sup to add to it.
Cheers peeps

76g per serving, or over the three?
TBH your best trying to get more protein through food sourses rather than in shakes. How much protein are you taking in via food?

try www.myprotein.co.uk for some cheaper but just as good alternatives
the hurricane formula they offer is the equivalent of maximuscles cyclone.
shakes are ideal post workout as they are quicker to digest than a meal.
Personally have a shake straight after the workout then a meal once showered etc

your must be training hard for that kind of protein intake?
i only have a shake after training as thats when your muscles will be crying out for the protein to rebulid them

if your bulking around 1.5g per kg of weight should be your protein intake throughout the day. Your body struggles to absorb more than approx 40g per serving though so best to have it in portions of this size.

what a load of shite!
Food is a much better source, I wont argue that, but it is nearly impossible to take in as much protein as you can JUST via food. Not to mention the other benefits shakes contain.
You just shouldnt base the majority of your protein intake via them!

You can get whole cooked chicken from tesco for about £3. get one of those, some tuna and a all in one shake. Do that everyday and u'll build up quick.

76g per shake ? seems a lot didnt think your body could process over 37g odd or something in one go.
Any way regardless of that people make to much of a science out of weight training 3 shakes a day and 5-6 meals a day of good quality food and you will build up, and lots of sleep of course.

i tend to have 1 when i wake up, one straigh after training and one before bed.
use whey shakes for the first 2 servings and the one before i go to bed i use er casein (sp) as its slower digesting.
also have minimum 4 meals a day usually 5, works well for me like i said no rocket science to it just takes a bit of dedication.

if you really want to gain then the answer to your original question in my opinion would be to just use a whey protein powder and creatine powder separate, as you will get more then. You could throw in some dextrose too post workout to help.
i just use maximuscle promax chocolate flavour. Just finished another tub so might try something else to save money.
