hey guys im thinking of getting a omex ecu to go with my tb's but is there any other ecu i should consider? thanks

depends if you want a free base map that will suit your engine and tb's perfectly or wether you want to pay £400 for mapping to get it up and running really mate.

i see dave why dont omex list the 500 anymore on the website? looks like the 600 replaces it

but you'd still need the £400odd worth of mapping whatever ECU you use. my MBE ran fine on its basemap supplied with it

having mapped a lot of cars with specs that are the same or similar, using a base map to run the car on is silly IMO, the difference between engines is great no matter what people say!

there is no point in having a complete standalone ecu and then running it on a base map, defeats the point of it!

agree 100% mark.

the reason I reccomend that he gets the omex ecu is that:

1. I may be selling mine with the loom
2. it will fit his perfectly
3. I have a base map for that engine with those tb's
4. its a big advantage to have a decent basemap when you are diy fitting tb's. saves having to pay to get it trailered to the RR and paying for a full map from scratch
