Dunno if you guys n gals heard. Virgin in london gave away a FREE 40+" HD TV worth £2000 to the first 100 people that bought the new PS3

heard this, what i don't understand is WHY? they gave away an item which was worth more than the console and didn't let any1 know so therefore they didn't sell extra console because of it.

pointless imo but nice for those lucky 100

And those 100 customers are sure to shop in Virgin today. And recommend Virgin to friends and family. Who'll recommend to friends and family. Plus the thousand other people that will now shop in Virgin on the off chance.

Pretty good marketing move imho.
