Need to watch & analyse a film (something to do with crime) & then write an essay on it. So for example Godfather = gang cultures

Obvious ones are the Krays, Goodfellas etc - typical gangster movies


Any other decent films people can think of that would make a good subject? Maybe something not to do with the mafia

goodfellas - shows rise from a kid who wants to be a gangster, starts by helping chaps get jobs done, then greed makes him turn his back and try and do it all himself.

Reservoir Dogs would be better actually, there's far more depth to the criminal activity in it

i've always enjoyed the subtlety of the godfather myself.

casino is a good one too, and theres some violence if you like that kind of thing

More corporate corruption than crime, but its got some twists might make interest writing. Bit less predictable than gangsters arguing over who has the best suit.

Devils Advocate. Corruption in the legal system, how innocent are the people who get found innocent by the system. How much of it comes down to game playing and egos etc.
