Not fussed what engine, any of these will be fine;

E/C16SE
C/X16XE
Z18XE/X18XE1
(C)20XE
20SEH
C/X25XE
or an X30XE with C25XE heads and a F20/F25

I have cash, what have you got?

Nothing with silly miles on it (under 100k ideally), needs to have run when it was in the car, no holes in the block etc

Would prefer an engine with gearbox (small block ones not so important, I can get a spare easily), Needs ECU and loom, alternator and starter.

I'm in the Northampton area, so it needs to be close(ish) to me really.

when you say silly miles, does 127K count as silly? cos if not ive got a corsa gsi lump coming out hopefully at the weekend, if not the one after

i will have the c20xe outta mine when the new engine is ready. no idea on the millage but im changin the head, head gasket, cambelt etc on it atm n reconditioned the head

Nope, if it goes in anything it'll be another B, (or an Astra if it's a v6, probably a Nova if it's a 1.6 8v).

James, let me know how much you'll be after when you've got it out and we'll see

I have a 2.0 8v (c20ne) on 75k £80 or a 2.0 turbo (c20let) on 79k £1250 if there any good mate
