which car Would you rather?
both would be stripped completley with cage, buckets etc
nova would be x16xe with lexmaul breathing mods and cams
vts would have a few breathing mods and cams
based on power, handling etc
discuss

VTS, alhough seen as the 'ride' of choice for chavs it handles superb, is easy to get good gains out of, i would uprate the g'box though

saxo would be the better choice imo. very good acceleration as standard and handle brilliantly also the fact it wont of rusted to pieces helps it lol

Id say Nova, things will break and parts for a Nova will be alot more cheaper to buy than Saxo parts.

why? saxo parts are cheap and easy to find. nova is old and more likely to go wrong tbh

You need to check if the regulations would allow engine swaps, if not, the Nova is completely off the cards.
I'd but a VTR over a VTS too, cheaper and probably better power delivery for road rallies.

Yeah they allow engine swap's, we went up few weeks back and the car we had was a mk2 escort with a 1.6 zetec lump, there was many 16 nova's there too, suprisingly quick

A Saxo will be just as quick IMO, as well as handling better than a Nova and being less rusty.
Gearbox might be an issue on a highly abused car though

I agree with you there
saxo gearbox aren't the best under pressure and strain!
The VTR is no comparisson with the VTS though, i've driven both and the VTR feels painfully slow in comparisson

depending on your budget
youl get a better vts for the money!
I find that I see very little vts's and loads of 106's these days, hence why I got the vts over the 106

As i go to alot of rallying i see alot of rally cars
I would go for the saxo as they seem the better all round package

Why have a poll if anyone who says different than saxo just gets slated?
Like any of you know what i drive or have driven. I chose to be different, 3gearboxes i had on my saxo, 1 rear beam, 3 engine mounts, 2 sets of shockers.
I was overall not pleased with the build quality of french cars
