I *think* this will be my next car ?

But what I am wondering about is the reliability of one ? One that needs a work is not a problem as this would suit me down to the ground

I love my Escort that I have but I am very quickly used to the speed and dont want to start spending money on cams/chip etc though this may be the better option ?

To those of you who have owned or had experience with this car , how would you sum the car up ?

Cheers
Gregor

There's loads of stuff about - cams, tb's, turbos, depends on your budget.

I think a 1.8 Zetec Turbo GTi would be better than an S2.

Probably is if you pay someone to do it.

All you need to do is tap the block for the exhaust manifold, get a spacer plate for the head and bang it all back together with some boost pipes (little more too it than that maybe, but that's basically it )

IIRC, you need the exhaust manifold, inlet manifold and ECU from an FRST, then the spacer plate, and a few holes drilling in the block so the manifold will go on.

I reckon you could do all of it, but I'd leave the drilling to an engineering place tbh.

I've been offered a swap for my 106 for a 210bhp S2! Apparently it's mint, no rust, but it will probably break more than the pug!! LOL!!
