I kind of understood you when you said you missed having sounds, but subs?! Who needs subs. I had a standard saxo cd player in mine and front speakers which did the trick.

Get a good component set in the front doorcards and you will have a reasonable sounding stereo

This is mine. I did have this sub in there with the amp screwed onto the other side. 6x9's are in either side of the rear quarters. I have since taken the sub out cos it cracked my smooth boot!!

i have put my 6*9's in the rear cards...stealth shelfs also make boxes for subs that sit nice and tight into the rear plasics ? or maybe a false floor with the sub sitting in the wheel whel?

Only trouble with having it stripped out and placing subs and amps etc in there is showing off to thieves what they could nick

IMO 6x9's and a good amp will do the trick and hide them in a false floor!

6x9's are shite.
Get a decent set of components in front doors & leave the back end alone.
I've just decided i'm not having any sort of stereo at all, sound of the engine should be more than enough for me.

keep thinkin about doing this to mine. wanna sink a sub box in the wheel well and put holes in the false floor for 6x9s. would all that lower the car more than the rear bench cos i wanna lower mine more but its already on -60mm springs

Why do people insist on using 6x9 speakers?
