Is it true that if you have parts on the car which arent legal for an MOT, if you cover it up with duct tape they cant remove it so cant fail it on whats under neath. My brothers friend has a rat style black capri on carbs covered in duct tape lol, it passed this way. The engine is proper blinging though. Might be able to dig up some vids.

to cover sharp edges, yes, to cover holes near suspension mounts, no.

years ago me and a mate had mk 3 xr31. it failed the MOT on chassis rust, or lack of chassis in fact

we filled it with cardboard, used some cut up coke cans and fibreglass body filler, undersealed it and it passed
