Picked this up

523i, full leather, 160k, fbmwsh, good runner, taxed, MOT'd, 2 previous owners

Won the bid at 2050 -- cheap i reckon

Got some mods in mind, getting the M power kit put on it, and a private plate

Not exactly what i had in mind to get, was looking for a 3-series, or a 520i, still, not too bad i reckon -- goes pretty quick aswell, went flying down the A12 in it - although its got high mileage, i aint too bothered

Thought id share it with you guys....

some blockas had nikasil liners that deteriorate. They were poo to the point that BMW were replaing engine blocks under warrenty!

There is a tab on the engine near the head somewhere that will say if its nikasil or not!

I'm pretty sure this was from 1996, so affected N, P & R reg.

And dechrome it. Standard body kit with bigger BMW alloys and dechromed looks the nads. Sometimes better than Sport IMO.
