.. on the drivers side door hinge bit, it's pulling itself apart.

This has been there since I bought the car, but it's coming up to my first MOT next week.. This won't fail it will it?

Excuse how filthy the car is!

It creaks and pops when you open the door because it's pulling apart the metal.. What shall I do? How much am I looking at to get it fixed?

Simple clean up and weld job if you get it done fairly soon, otherwise it's gonna be more complicated.

Mine is dong the same, but not as bad. To stop the creaking when opening, replace that pin type thing that holds the hinge on (about £1 from vauxhall)

As for the metal, get it welded, shouldn't cost more than £20

Will get it done next week, along with the MOT, a service and some other bits and bobs that need doing.
