mark - not an easy question to answer. My engine was far from standard!

If you fit them on a standard cam engine, id say about 190bhp (real, not bullshit figures)

I was making about 210 from memory but this on down on what it should have been (230'ish). I've had multiple probs with blocks, heads along the lines hindering the engine making its potential. Hence packing it in and cutting my extensive losses.

Cool, ive got a few tweeks too.

I know its not an easy one to answer, i was just thinking along the lines of the kits the likes of sbd & so on, they say its a xxxkit, and should produce xxxbhp on std engine.

Nothing definate, but i will try & sort some finances out, i needs me some tb's!

thanks for info

Cams for sale (aprox bugger all miles maybe 300 miles)

The SBD 284 & SBD278 cams have been designed give about 15 -20 BHP* over standard cams, without compromising the drivability of the standard engine, they produce a power band of 2500 - 7500 RPM

CM16V2-H284IN 2.0L 16V Inlet cam 11.4mm lift hydraulic profile 284 degrees duration Pocketed standard piston or Omega
Associated head parts recommended - VLC-6K VLP-9K CMFL-1S VLS-06K

CM16V2-H278EXS 2.0L 16V Short Exhaust cam 11.03mm lift hydraulic profile 278 degrees duration
Associated head parts recommended - VLC-6K VLP-9K CMFL-1S VLS-06K

I have the associated valve caps, springs, seats and followers if needed.

SBD Prices

CM16V2-H284IN £195.00 - Inlet Cam
CM16V2-H278EXS £195.00 - Exh Cam
VLS-06K £102.40 - springs
VLC-6K-S £60.80 - caps
VLP-9K £67.08 - seats

I'd like £275 for the cams, or £350 with seats, caps and springs, OR £375 including 16 followers too, OR £425 including verniers....

block - one piston has some deposits on the crown from the valve guide. The bores are fine though.

Shell - not quite yet... got a few interests, but nothing concrete yet.
