my dad went to one and the case sounded well good... some guys ripped a cash point out of a wall with a jcb... the guy in the jcb ended up trying to get awaqy from the police in it

My Mum did something similar, she is 50% deaf in one ear so claimed hearing difficulites and got out of it.

ive done it also at lewes and yes its very boring it dont matter if its a short case or not you are expected for up to a fortnight i got a 3 day case then the next day was put on the jury for a 7 day you cant leave the building unless told so etc and dont be late you have to sit in a big room with all the other jurors you cant talk about the case outside of your deliberation room and take lots to read etc there is not alot else to do although they did have a tv with video which you can use iirc

Your sequested for a priod of time, not a particular case... if one is quick you just go to another

What about having the embaracement of having to put your name to doing something involved with this country's legal system? Surely you should get some compensation for that.
