what a shit review, they actually complain that it makes peak power early and you dont need to rev the tits off it. thats what you want in a road car!

yes, probably feels a little turbo diesel like in its power delivery i imagine they mean.

Like a lot of td's they can be quick but people like the feel of a revving engine

Where the christ does it say that? Throughtout the review it says its better to drive than the Clio.

near the bottom, just after daves quote, they just said it gets to 60 quicker than the clio, at the bottom they hinted that they preffered the drive of the clio, it has more urgency etc

TBH it seems a good review. Sounds like its the better car if you want it for road use and not track which 99% of people will.

£16k new - hopefully this will knock down the prices of the Mk4 Astra SRi-T/SGi-T and the Mk5 CDTi and VXR

One thing id like to add.

The clio is a nice car and i like it, but for corsa has far more tuning potential.

Possibly, depends on insurance group though TBH, if they mangage to keep the Corsa VXR sub insurance group 13 I doubt it will effect the Astra GSi/VXR as it will be aimed at a different market of people.

And the Clio, is ermmm, French

Good review though and ties win with everything that they said at the preview evening.

I like how you wouldn't have to rev the nuts off the engine - surely that means the engine 'will last longer' (and I use the term loosely) because you don't have to rev the nuts off it everywhere.
