Third party Fire and Theft. Suppose I could ask how much FC is but to be honest £500 is enough .

Remember its a renewal too and not starting with them from scratch, maybe this makes a difference? All I know is my quote next year is £501.06 and I'm not complaining

quinn are cheap,

they are the worst ever people to have a policy with. trust me. I have had loads of trouble just getting docs etc from them. A lad near here had his car stolen and it was with quin. 2 months later, they havnt been in touch and are being funny about it when he rings in took them 1 month just to log the claim on the system.

they lost my 1 years no claims bonus because they decided to cancel my policy 1 month from it ending, then start up a new one (all without telling me) when I asked where my no claims was they told me I didnt have one! and that because the policy was cancelled before the 12 month term was up I didnt get the no-claims.

I went to the insurance ombudsman, they managed to get my no claims for me but the cheeky bastards at quinn wouldnt accept that and decided to cancel my 2nd policy (again without notice) 2 months into it and not pay any money back out of the £500 I had paid them. their reason was that I had broken the terms and conditions of the policy

anyway, got my £500 back and my no claims in the end, took 2 cases with the insurance ombudsman though. Infact, I am still waiting for my noclaims certificate from them 6 months on.....

theres a website somewhere that insurance users can post good and bad trade stories on, quinn are one of the worst, infact I have just renewed my insurance with Endsleigh and they asked about my no claims, when I said it was with Quinn, the lad laughed and replied:

"dont bother sending the proof of no claims as I have no doubt Quinn will even bother sending it"

oh, and they rarely input the cars details on the computer system that the police use to check insurance details. In sunderland they have fitted those ANPR cameras on 2 major routes in and out of the city to check that drivers have tax and insurance.

I was stopped a little while back as the reg number had been changed over earlier that day as the previous owner wanted the private reg back, it showed no insurance. The copper asked if I was insured, which I obviously was. He then asked is it with Quinn Direct said they are the worst company for not logging the details correctly, and told me 3 people had their cars impounded by the police recently for no insurance, which they did have but quinn failed to do their job properly and in 1 case left it 4 days return a phonecall to them to prove it!

after a quick check it was all sorted and I was on my way.(was with elephant.co.uk at the time)
