!! Update !!

A fair bit has happened since i got the car :

Firstly out came the ls interior and in went GLS interior

Then central locking was fitted

I then t-cut the entire car, made it look spanky white

Then the car ticked over 80k, quick bit of stopping and photography :

And then finally got hold of a set of corsa sport alloy wheels

sorry about the bad pic quality.

Better pics tomorrow after i wash the car

Also a new amp and sub have gone in aswell as a set of fli front components courtesy of the old man

And an alarm fitted so hopefully no more mishaps with my mirrors any more

Finally a tachometer was picked up cheap and bodged in

link of the road trip to get the alloys

Yeah same, however money is scarce till pay day, and the added hassle of rewinding/forwarding the clock to 81k is just not wanted. Therefore....tada

Kinda progress for the car/my first attempt at filling and spraying a spoiler in pictures:

Bought a spoiler from Dan295 however was in a pretty sorry state when i got it

Started work on it at about midnight/half 12 this morning

however i decided i'd persist because of:

Apparently it makes me cool....

Because its a spoiler designed for a light, and i havent go a light i decided rather than spending loads of money i'd just fibre glass and fill it....

Remember i have never done this before

I then sanded down the filler, and sprayed with plastic primer

And its now currently sat in the garage drying, its had 2 coats of glacier white put on. hopefully the colour match will be reasonable and i'll line it up tomorrow, then its a case of final rub down, final coat of paint and then 2 coats of lacquer

that is all

Today it has had the 3rd layer of paint put on...(at about 4 this morning)

Then 2 coats of lacquer...just needs one more before i go to work in the morning and when i get home hopefully it'll be going on the car, weather permitting etc.

Couple of questions....will tiger seal or something similar/epoxy resin etc hold it on the car well enough ?? Anyone got a better way of mounting it without a mounting frame ?

secondly are 3 coats of lacquer enough ? i hope so otherwise i need to get some more...
